Introduction
This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds work for purchases of Pam Terminal licenses and related Account Services on pamterminal.com (the “Site”).
It forms part of our Terms of Use. If there is a conflict between this Refund Policy and a signed order form or quote for a specific purchase, that order document controls for that purchase. Mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived under applicable law still apply.
Contact for refund questions: [email protected]. Signed-in customers can also manage billing from the Account Services billing area.
-
What you are buying
Pam Terminal is primarily sold as a one-time prepaid purchase for a fixed-term (term-based) software license for self-hosted / on-premises Licensed Software (for example an offline Docker pack and a signed license key), together with access to Account Services for licensing, receipts, invoices, and entitled downloads.
Unless an order expressly says otherwise: (a) the license is not perpetual (not lifetime)—it lasts only for the purchased term you select; (b) it does not auto-renew, so it is not a classic recurring subscription; and (c) when the term ends, continuing use requires purchasing a new fixed-term license. Purchases are for defined prepaid term and capacity (for example operators and assets), not an open-ended cloud session-hosting subscription operated by Pam Terminal.
-
Payment processor
Online card and checkout payments are processed by our merchant of record / payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. Their checkout, tax collection, and payment terms also apply to the payment transaction.
Pam Terminal does not store full payment card numbers. Limited payment metadata (for example card brand and last four digits) and order status may appear in your Account Services billing history.
-
When you can request a refund
Unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing for a specific order:
- (a) Before a license key is generated for that purchase, you may request a refund from Account Services → Billing (where the “Request refund” action is available), or by contacting us.
- (b) After a license key has been generated for that purchase, the purchase is non-refundable, because digital license fulfillment has begun and the key can be used to activate Licensed Software.
Refund requests are unavailable if the order is already refunded, marked failed, or already marked as refund requested.
Important: Generating a license key permanently closes self-serve refund eligibility for that order in Account Services. If you may need a refund, request it before generating the key.
-
How refunds are processed
When a refund is available and you submit a request:
- we attempt to process the refund through Lemon Squeezy when the provider integration is configured and the order is a live provider order; and/or
- we log a refund requested status on your Account Services order for follow-up if the provider API cannot complete the refund immediately.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method by the payment provider. Timing depends on the provider and your bank or card issuer (often several business days after approval).
Taxes collected at checkout are handled according to the payment provider’s tax rules and applicable law when a refund is issued.
-
What a refund covers
A refund, when issued, covers the amounts charged for that order (including applicable tax collected on that charge), subject to provider rules.
Refunds do not include: (a) costs you incur deploying or operating Licensed Software in your environment; (b) third-party infrastructure or identity-provider fees; or (c) damages beyond the purchase price, except where liability cannot be limited by law (see Terms of Use).
-
Effect on licenses and downloads
If an order is refunded (or treated as refunded), Pam Terminal may revoke or disable related license entitlements, signed keys, and download access for packs tied to that purchase. You must stop using Licensed Software features that require that paid entitlement.
Continuing to use a key after a refund may result in suspension of Account Services and further enforcement under the Terms of Use.
-
Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you open a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer, we may suspend Account Services, downloads, or licenses associated with the disputed order while the dispute is investigated.
Please contact us first so we can attempt to resolve the issue. Unresolved or abusive chargebacks may result in account disablement.
-
Quotes, invoices, and non-checkout orders
Purchases completed through custom quotes, invoices, purchase orders, or manual issuance follow refund terms stated in that order document. If no special terms are stated, this Refund Policy and the Terms of Use apply, including that fulfillment of a signed license key ends refund eligibility.
-
Exceptions required by law
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law (including mandatory consumer protections where they apply). If a mandatory right requires a refund in circumstances not listed above, we will honor that right.
Business customers purchasing for commercial use acknowledge that Pam Terminal licenses are digital goods intended for professional infrastructure use.

Changes to this Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date on this page. The version in effect at the time of a purchase applies to that purchase, unless a later version is more favorable to you and we apply it voluntarily, or applicable law requires otherwise.
